Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
To play along just do the following:
The Rook by Daniel O’Malley
Something a little different this week, but only in the sense that this book has not been labelled Young Adult. To be honest, I’m not a fan of labelling books based on either the audience’s or the protagonist’s age but that’s a different story. Anyway, I highly encourage you to try this book. The first four chapters are available if you click here.
To play along just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The Rook by Daniel O’Malley
The Rook - Little, Brown and Company |
“Who are you? I can’t understand it. You are not Rook Thomas, and yet you are!”
“Myfanwy Thomas lost her memory,” the younger woman said levelly with that strange detachment that comes in dreams. “I’m what woke up.”
-- Chapter 1
I wish you nothing but the best. Whatever you do, be careful until you have opened the box. Remember, they want you dead.

Intriguing teaser. Thanks for sharing! Mine is from Tuesdays at the Castle this week at http://christinerains-writer.blogspot.com/
Fascinating teaser! I'll be curious to hear what you think of the book. My teasers are from The Cowboy Takes a Bride by Lori Wilde and Spellcaster by Cara Lynn Shultz. Happy reading!
