As for books to play hookey with - um, yes, I do occasionally bunk off to continue reading a book that has me by the throat - the last time I did it was when nearing the ending of THE TIGER AND WOLF, the upcoming book by Adrian Tchaikovsky - brilliant, climactic ending!
